‘Halberry’ is a castle situated on the East Coast of Caithness. It is the closest castle to us. Not much remains of it today, but it was thought to have been one of the biggest castles in Caithness in its time!

Halberry - Luxury Self Catering Pod in Caithness

Our third Pod, opened in October 2021, has been beautifully finished and is fully equipped for self catering stays, on our croft in Caithness.

The Pod sleeps 2 adults & 2 kids or 3 adults – in a double bed & a sofa bed.

It has underfloor heating throughout, and is double glazed.

It has a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. The kitchen area is equipped with a sink, hob, fridge and microwave. All utensils, cutlery etc included.

It also had a tv/dvd, dining table and chairs, kettle, toaster.

All bed linen and towels are provided.

We also provide complimentary tea and coffee.

The ‘Halberry’ has a Cotswold Eco hot tub – it is heated by a small wood fired stove built into the tub.

Quick to heat – It takes roughly 2 hours to heat the water to the perfect temperature

We offer the option of having the tub pre heated for your arrival, or you can choose to light it yourselves when you arrive

Wood is supplied on site

Minimum 2 night stay on a Friday and Saturday from April to October.
